Weekend Sale

Hello to you.
Hope you've all enjoyed a lovely weekend?
It's been a long time since I've had such a busy weekend.
I had my first craft sale.
Here is my table full of months worth of work.
We had it over two days. As you can see, the stall didn't stay as tidy as the top photo on Saturday.
I had a very patient helper too, my daughter sat with me all day Saturday and Sunday. Considering she's only seven, she had bag loads of enthusiasm for the whole thing.
Well, it was a good first experience of craft selling direct. Although I didn't make many sales, the sales I did make were greatly received and complimented.
One lady who'd bought a door stop actually came back to tell me that it looked fabulous in her home - which made it all worth while.
So I might indulge myself in making some things for myself for a while now. Saying that, there is talk of a Christmas craft sale, so we'll see.
Hope you're all enjoying your week so far?
Thank you so much for all the wishes of luck - I think they might have channelled over!
xx

  1. Aww congratulations! I'd love to have a go at something like this, but I'm a little bit scared of the whole thing and building up all that stock is a lee-tle overwhelming... if you fancy sharing any tips on your blog I'd love to have a read. Also if you do a Christmas stall please post some lovely pictures! x

    1. Hello. Like you I was very scared of the whole thing being quite shy and not one to push myself forward. I did enjoy it and enjoyed meeting the costumes and having a chat about similar interests. I did take a while to build up my stock and gave myself plenty of time so it didn't feel like a chore. I'm sure I will be writing about the Christmas craft sale preparations when I begin. I'm very new to it all but hope I continue to enjoy it. Thanks for commenting x

So now you can do a little bit of what you fancy for yourself after being so busy - what will your next project be, I wonder? Do you fancy joining Chrissie's stitch along?

    1. I know Joy wasn't it lovely of her to let me know how it looked in her house, very sweet indeed. I'm still battling on with my hexagon blanket it is growing slowly but surely. I don't like to rush myself, have you noticed hehe.
I'm also hoping to make some cushions too bought some nice fabric from the local market today. Now I read about this stitch along on your blog I must go over and have a look. It might be nice to join in if I get some extra time!
