Bonjour!

Hello and happy Monday.
I'm a little late this week with my post.
Still feeling tired but will be hopefully perking up soon with a change of iron tablets.
We've had some lovely weather today so I am not long in from the garden.

Do you like my bunny?
He says Bonjour to you.
I found the pattern in my new mollie makes magazine (thank you eBay)
He was an absolute pleasure to make.
He is also my first amigurumi toy that has gone right.

I'm still hooking away at my gypsy caravan blanket.
It's growing slowly but surely.

Hope you've all enjoyed a lovely weekend.

CAL Late! and My Little Visitor

 Hello to you.
Hope I find you well?
It's been another busy week, full of tasks and appointments.
So here I am at the end of the week and I can finally breath a sigh of contentment, lean back and enjoy a relaxed weekend.
I did manage to find some time so finish my gypsy caravan cushion from my Mollie crochet book.
I'm linking in with Marianne and Chrissie again for their blooming crochet along.
I'm still enjoying joining them and the other members, nosing in on what everyone's making.
Excuse the photos - the light was dreadful!
Here it is on the chair.
It's a lovely addition to my sitting room, it's starting to look a bit yarn bombed now!
It was a welcome smallish project after the blanket!

So my excuse now for being a day late....
This is Bella, my friend's daughter who came to visit yesterday. She's a real bundle of fun!
Bella is sporting my recent give-away prize from Joy.
I think you'll agree that it's a beautiful cardigan for a beautiful girl, a perfect fit.
My friend was delighted with the uniqueness of the cardigan and the style.
So thank you again Joy.

I hope you all enjoy a lovely weekend.
Thank you so much for your lovely comments on the last post, really appreciated.

Mollie Makes Crochet Cushion CAL

Hello to you...
Hope you're all well?
This week has seen me turn 29 - my last year of being a twenty something! My naughty shoulder is playing up. I really hope it isn't RSI. I can't not crochet! And we've a new arrival in the shape of a feral kitten...
So, another busy week since I last posted.
So as you know, I've been joining in with ladybirddiaries and chrissiecrafts with their blooming crochet along.
I've really enjoyed the company through my various projects.
Last week saw me finish my CK inspired blanket so I've been twiddling my thumbs and wondering what shall I make next? My partner bought me this book about a month ago and I was instantly drawn to the granny square cushion...

Quite a simple pattern so not too much concentration necessary.
The book is great, full of colourful patterns and comes with a really cool folksy daisy free gift.
My partner bought mine from here
Well worth £5.

I've made my front panel - 36 squares all joined together. Back panel next.
A smaller project is welcome after the blanket.

Here is photo of my favourite birthday present - a genuine 1950's print of The Green Lady. I absolutely love it! My partner bought it for me and knows me so well...I'll stop being slushy now!

Today my daughter, her friend and I carved pumpkins. We all enjoyed the messiness of it!
I hope you all enjoy a lovely weekend.
Thank you so much for all your lovely comments about my blanket and also making me feel less mad RE my daughters rash...
A warm welcome to my new followers - lovely to have you here with me!

Rocky Raccoon

Hello to you.
How's your week been so far?
Mine has been fairly busy.
Volunteering at the shop and helping my Grannie after her fall (she's ok though, just taking time to rehabilitate) She broke her leg and shoulder.
I've had some "me" time too...
I picked up a Mollie makes magazine, second hand, and I enjoyed making the cover woodland friends.

If I bought all the magazines I enjoyed new, I'd be permanently skint! But I do like to look out for second hand copies.

Here they are! Their new home is in my partner's study.

Rocky was definitely my favourite.

I spent some time yesterday wondering around the garden with my camera. It was lovely to have ten minutes to myself. I found it very relaxing.

I wasn't totally alone. Poppy was prettifying herself in the wood shed.

Not sure what this is. It came from my Mum's garden. We like to share plants.

Cyclamen - pretty in purple.

The bees are still busy buzzing around.

The September garden still has some colour in places...

The fennel must be 7ft plus now - it's grown amazingly this year.

These bees appeared to be drunk on pollen!

Verbena - usually a butterfly magnet, but they seem to have gone now.

Green tomatoes. Come on, go red!

Hover fly enjoying an artichoke flower.

Coming in to land.

What a vivid purple.

Cosmos is one of my favourite annuals.

They're very pretty in pink.

Sweet corn.

Marsh mallow.

Here is the fennel again, towering high.
Hope you're all enjoying a nice week?
Tomorrow I plan to catch up with some jobs around the house and then maybe get an hour or so on my sewing machine.
I'm off to a music festival this weekend and we are likely to have an autumn storm - so I'm packing my wellies!
Thank you for your lovely comments on the last post. It took a lot to put myself out there, but I'm glad I did.
