Wedding highlights

Hello to you!
I'm back refreshed and back to normal.
I wanted to share with you some of my wedding photos.
Only a few for now as the photographer is still editing the professional ones.

I thought you might like to see the décor.
Inside of the marquee the day before the wedding. We finished at 6pm on the evening before the wedding. I got there with a lot of help from a special friend and family.

Our wedding rings.

Plas Newydd where we were married and my lovely transportation.

The yummy cakes.

Scrabble letters on my Grannie's 100 year old table cloth.

Hand knitted bunting made by the ladies at the centre where my partner works. The honey comb balls are now at my house waiting to find a home.
Very sad waving goodbye to the camper wanted to keep it.

We had a wonderful day. It seemed to go well without and major mishaps.
It was everything we hoped it would be and more.

Will share some more photos soon when the professional photos come through.

I have been crocheting wash cloths this week (starting to make Christmas presents)
I cant show you them yet because the people I am making them for my spy them!

Thank you so much for all your lovely messages wishing luck and kindness.

Cornwall, Crochet and Vintage Finds

Hello.
Hope your enjoying a relaxing Sunday what ever you may be up to.
I've had a lovely break from reality this Easter half term, spending time with family and friends.
I've hooked up a few bits and bobs.
Here is a little dachshund called sausage.
You can find the pattern in simply crochet magazine issue 17.

In the new simply crochet magazine (issue 18) There're some wonderful patterns, I hooked up this lovely doily quickly, will need blocking.

I tried my hand at this new motif I really enjoyed the star pattern.

Here are a few photos from our week in Cornwall.
2, Vintage signs
4, A veggie version of the famous Cornish pasty for me.
5, Beach huts at Bude
6, Newquay

We all had a lovely time, my first time in Cornwall I will definitely be back.

I will leave you with some little vintage finds I have acquired lately.
I'm hoping to get back up to date with all your blogs and get back into the swing of things too.

Crochet Slouchy Hat

Hello to you.
Hope you're all well.
I always enjoy reading through my favourite blogs and when I came across this particular post here on Jennifer's blog, I felt totally inspired.
I love a hat when it starts getting chillier. They cover a multitude of bad hair sins on a morning school run too!
At my local charity shop I had a real bargain with this yarn - £2 for six balls! Such a good bargain that I treated myself to a mossy green pack too!
I wanted to use it for something special and I knew when I saw the above post that's what I'd use it for.

The pattern you can find on the above link. I found the pattern really easy to follow. In all honesty though, I have to tell you I did have a little mishap! I began my hat in UK double crochet and soon realised it was an American pattern. Silly me! Oops.
So after a little unravelling I was back on track.

and here it is, complete and modelled by me.

Perfect for Autumn walks in the woods!
My daughter has requested one next.
Hope you're all having a lovely weekend, whatever you're up to.
Thank you for your kind comments on the last post, always so lovely to hear from you.
Now to carry on with the Cath Kidston inspired blanket!
A huge thank you again to Marianne at Ladybird Diaries for making my day with a mention in her post, pleased as punch!

I'm Leaving On a Jet Plane...

 Hello, hello.
How are you all?
Well I hope.
I'm off on holiday soon so I thought I'd write a quick post before I leave.
I've started another simple square blanket.
I thought it would be a nice easy project to take on holiday with me.
I've gone for a bluey colour scheme this time.
I little bit different for me as I usually have to have pink in it somewhere!

I've made a start.
I quite like the way its turning out so far.
I think I will enjoy hooking away on holiday.

I've also recently finished a bag for my craft sale in September.

It needs a good iron, but it will have to wait 'till I get back.
Well, again, thank you to the lovely people who commented on my last post, always lovely to hear from you!
Hope you all have a lovely week.
See you when I get back.

Hexagons and Vintage Shopping

Hello to you...
My gosh I was over-whelmed by the lovely comments I had on the last post! Thank you so much lovelies.
It's been a lovely week here in Wales, full of sunshine and good times.
I've recently started crocheting hexagons.
I'm hoping to make a small throw for my sitting room.
Here they are.

Beginning to take shape.
I've been a bit naughty recently, starting projects and not finishing them. My excuse with the cushions is that I'm waiting for new yarn to arrive.

Today has been lovely. My partner usually works on the weekend so it was a lovely treat to spend a Saturday together. We decided to go to a local vintage and antiques show.

It was a lot bigger than I expected, and better, with some real bargains and a huge variety.
We had ice cream too!
So, do you want to know what I came home with?
What's in here?
Ta Da! I've been after one for agggeeeessss!
My lovely partner bought me this ring - the first ring he's bought me... note its on the right hand!
1960s tiger eye silver ring, so pleased.
I'm a very lucky girl.

We popped in to see my parents on the way home and I took a few sunny photos in their beautiful garden.
Hello froggy

Pond dipping.
Daisy.

The Rosa rugosa is very popular with the bees and smells divine.

I hope everyone is having a lovely sunny weekend.

Bootsale Bargains

Sunday is car boot sale day. It was a lovely morning the sun was shining. Now the weather is warming both the local car boots near me are in full swing.

I was quite restrained for me. I think because we showed up late most of the great buys had gone....you have to get there early I think for the real bargains.
I bought two books.

Lovely Laura Ashley living room book and a vintage crochet book.

The crochet book has some fab patterns.

Some are quite dated but with a change of colours they could be great.

Check out this outfit crochet chic hehe.

The Laura Ashley book has lots of inspiring photos.

This garden room is beautiful like having the outdoors inside.
Now I just need some time to read them properly!
I have a pile of magazines and books waiting for me to read them.

Do you remember me telling you about the hanging birds I made for the rehabilitation centre....Well there they are on the craft stall at the centre, my partner kindly took a picture for me to see.
The centre staff liked them so much they made a special stand for them! Eek very exciting hope they make some money for new activities for the people who use the centre.
