CAL Spring Flowers and Lurgy!

Hello to you.
By heck is it Thursday again already? Really? Where does the time go?
The up-side of time passing by quickly is that January is nearly over... hooray!
Soon, it will be February when I have six Birthdays to make and buy for... Oh well, it will keep me busy I'm sure.
I'm crocheting along again this week with lovely Marianne and Chrissie

Chrissie Crafts

I've finished my patch work bag hooray!
I went off on my own once I'd got the jist of the pattern.
I lined the bag with some vintage fabric I had from a charity shop.
I'm very pleased with how it's turned out. I haven't taken it out on an outing yet but will do soon!

Also this week I have been hooking away on a scarf and come to the end of that...
This was a lovely project, made in Stylecraft pomegranate for the main part. The squares are made from Stylecraft special DK yarn, also aspen, pale rose and turquoise.

Thought I'd show you what it looks like on my dummy!

You may ask the reason, why I am not modelling the scarf? Well, I have the lurgy so I'm far too pale and coughy to put my face anywhere at the moment. I hope it clears away soon - the housework is mounting up as I type...!
I've been lucky enough to fill my house with beautiful spring flowers thanks to my partner, myself and a friend  It's been a good flower week. The tulips on the kitchen table have just got to that twisty bendy stage - I love it when they do that!

Hope you're all well and keeping germ free?
Have a lovely end to the week and weekend.
xx

On a Cold and Frosty Morning CAL

My crochet bag is coming along nicely and starting to look sort of bag shaped.
Lots more joining to do and some straps to make and then I will be ready to line it.

Chrissie Crafts
So happy to be crocheting along again with Marianne  and Chrissie.
looking forward to seeing what everyone has been up to.

Sometimes I forget how lucky I am to have this view every day on our walk to school.
The school run is made easier with views like this.
The mist was hanging over the river.....
....and circling the village.
The sun began to break through.

Trying to keep myself from those January blues and appreciating the everyday lovely things I see.
Hope you've enjoyed coming along with me on my school run.

Hoping you've all had a wonderful week and enjoy a lovely weekend.
Welcome hold heatedly to my new followers lovely to have you with me.

Patch Work Bag Cute and Easy Crochet

Hello, hello!
I've been wondering for a while what to do for my next project.
Recently I've bought a few books from my amazon wish list one of which being Cute and easy crochet. I enjoyed Nikki Trench's cute and easy crochet with flowers so much I wanted to have this one too!
So the new year project! A patchwork granny square bag I thought.
I made a quick start last night and hope to take my time and enjoy it.
Lots of cheery colours perfect for all these grey days we've been having.
I'm still picking up and putting down my hexagon blanket too, I quite like to have a couple of projects going at once.
Thank you for your lovely comments
and welcome to my new followers.
Lovely to have you here with me.

I'm Leaving On a Jet Plane...

 Hello, hello.
How are you all?
Well I hope.
I'm off on holiday soon so I thought I'd write a quick post before I leave.
I've started another simple square blanket.
I thought it would be a nice easy project to take on holiday with me.
I've gone for a bluey colour scheme this time.
I little bit different for me as I usually have to have pink in it somewhere!

I've made a start.
I quite like the way its turning out so far.
I think I will enjoy hooking away on holiday.

I've also recently finished a bag for my craft sale in September.

It needs a good iron, but it will have to wait 'till I get back.
Well, again, thank you to the lovely people who commented on my last post, always lovely to hear from you!
Hope you all have a lovely week.
See you when I get back.

Red and White

Hello, Hello.
Hope you're all having a lovely week?
Thank you so much for visiting me and thank you to all that commented, I hope I got back to you all in one way or another...
Really appreciated!
So it's not been hugely busy this week.
I'm still hooking away at my hexagon blanket.
To give me a little break I gave myself a quick and fun project...

Here it is! A little pleasure to make.
I was so excited to photograph it in the grass.
Thought it looked at home. My Mum said I ought to make a fairy to sit on it.

So, carrying on with the red and white theme...
This arrived for me in the post today - my first indulgence in ages! And my first Cath Kidston bag.
It was in the sale :)
Funny how I have to justify things I have... if it was for my daughter I wouldn't!
Hope you're having a wonderful week so far.

Happy Home Times

Hello to you.
Its been a changeable week here in Wales weather wise.
When the sun has occasionally shone I've been out in the garden.
We are now in my favourite months of year when everything bursts into colour and is fresh and new.
Hope you enjoy the photos from my garden this week...
Tulip Angelique such a pretty blousy variety.

Wall flowers with that wonderful scent, I wish I could bottle it.

Teeny tiny salad seedlings.

Allium waiting to pop cant wait to see it.

I loved the contrast of the copper beech and the green beech against the blue sky.

Lilac beginning to open.

Honey bee visiting.

The blue bells are in full swing down the banks in the garden.

White bells and skimmia.

Delicate fennel.

In doors......
some more flower love, pretty pink and cream roses.

My hootie owl.

I've been busy sewing more wares for the shop I volunteer at. This is a cushion topped off with vintage coat buttons.

The shop wares are mounting up.

Finally meet kitty grey eye inspired and helped by the lovely Joy. You will see a better version on her blog here
Thank you Joy for some very long distance learning!

Hope your all having a lovely week what ever your doing.
